Article 4 Map for Class MA

 

Which local authorities block Class MA (use Class E to residential) with an Article 4?

We map all local authorities which currently block a conversion of Use Class E to residential (C3) under Class MA with an Article 4. To the best of our knowledge this list is complete. You can find both the Article 4 direction and maps for each local authority via this page. 

In some areas, only a few buildings are restricted, whereas other areas, especially in London are borough wide. Importantly not all Articles 4s block every use within Use Class E – so converting from an office might be blocked, but from say a professional services use will not. Check out the Use Class E page for more information on different uses. Others will only block ground floors etc.
