CIL Forms
The CIL forms cover different stages of the process: Form 1 normally accompanies a planning application in a CIL area, Forms 2 to 6 deal with liability and commencement, and Forms 7 to 14 cover exemptions, reliefs and later changes. The timing matters as much as the form itself, so check the purpose and deadline before submitting it to the collecting authority.
The government’s current CIL guidance links to the current versions of every form. The PDFs should be saved to your device before completion so the entered text is retained properly.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to complete the forms correctly. Mistakes can lead to surcharges, a lost exemption or the wrong amount being demanded. If you are unsure which form is needed or when it must be submitted, send us the CIL details or book a Zoom session with Ian before work starts.

Need help with CIL?
CIL can be unforgiving, especially where an exemption, form or commencement notice has been missed. Planning Geek can review the paperwork, explain the liability and help you work out the best route forward.
