Table of GPDO changes – where they are allowed

You can use the table below to quickly see which prior approval changes might be available to you in different settings within England. Our other table lists the possible changes via use class.

An Article 4 could in theory prevent any of these from happening, but in reality the vast majority aim prevent HMOs or Office to Residential Conversions.

  • The Article 4 could refer to any restriction. An Article 4 restricting Class O might allow Class L for example – check locally
