The Use Classes Order has been around since 1948. This timeline will take you through the history of the Use Classes order.

Until the year 2000, the Use Classes Order applied to both England and Wales. The 1987 version has been updated many times. Eventually being updated independently by England and Wales.
In 2020 there was a major amendment, which we use today. Therefore we have split that onto its own page above.
