Airspace Table of opportunities within the GPDO

Part 20 of the GPDO allows for various Airspace opportunities above various properties creating new flats. Part 1 allows for airspace above a dwelling as part of the same property. This Airspace Table will let you know what you do to which types of properties and link you to the respective articles and legislation. Note that until 31st July 2021 the GPDO will use the old use class table.

Note that none of these are available in Conservation Areas, AONB, Broads, National Park, World Heritage Site, SSSIs, Listed Buildings, Scheduled Monuments, Safety Hazard Areas, Military Explosives Area or within 3 kilometres (1.86 miles) of an aerodrome. Other restrictions may apply check each PD class for your property.

You will notice that HMOs has an X against it. All these options both exclude any property that has an HMO as part or all and all excludes the ability to change to an HMO in the future without full planning. No Article 4 will apply to any of these as they are new.
